Eligibility Requirements

The Gateway to Leadership Program Eligibility Requirements:

  1. A full-time undergraduate student, in good standing, attending one of America’s Historically Black Colleges & Universities. The student must be a rising junior/senior for the fall of 2009.
  2. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.
  3. Demonstrated leadership skills.
  4. Active in civic & scholastic organizations (including the NAACP).
  5. Ability to work within a team environment.
  6. Ability to work independently.
  7. A letter of recommendation from either the University/College President and/or cabinet member, Dean of the applicant’s school and/or two tenured professors at the school.
  8. Copy of an original transcript and a recent graded writing sample.
  9. Good character.
  10. Strong computer skills and a thorough understanding of excel.
  11. A firm interest in a career in the financial services industry.
  12. A resume/bio and a professional photo (head shot only).
